On an early morning run in New Milford, Connecticut a southbound freight train had seven cars derail. These cars were carrying lumber and cooking oil. This accident happened just south of the Rooster Tail Hallow crossing on a cornering track right at milepost 15. This section of track is rather close to River Road and the Housatonic River. Fortunately, there were no injuries reported and there was no damage to the environment.
