Here are a few images of the Strates Shows Train waiting for a final inspection in Danbury, Connecticut. The top set was taken behind the Stop & Shop on Mill Plain Road. The lower set was taken on Segar Street at the crossing with the bridge for Route 7 (exit 3 on I-84) overhead. These shots were taken between 7:30 and 8:00am.

Housatonic Railroad's 3601, 3602 and 3604 crossing White Street and kicking up a bit of dust at the start of the trip.This is the original location of the Danbury Railroad Station and is now the home of the Danbury Railway Museum.

The coach cars at the end serve as crew quarters during the show. Although the train took less than 10 minutes to cross White Street, the 8:30 am crossing tied up traffic quite a bit.
Several expanded sizes of these thumbnails may be viewed. The best quality version is the Original. Visitors with slower connections or limited screen sizes may wish to view the Small and Medium images. The larger images are available for visitors with quicker internet connections or who may wish examine certain details of the photograph. These tend to be very large files.
